A Beautiful Madness cover reveal

Very excited to reveal the cover my publisher just sent me! It’s an August 2014 release. Can’t wait until you all can read it and tell people about it. Thanks to Shane Staley, Greg Gifune, Dave Thomas and Zach McCain for the hard, incredibly fast work! And the same to my pre-readers: Shaun, Chris, and Char.

A Beautiful Madness novel cover

A Texas Senator and his wife go missing… On the same day, their son is slaughtered by an enigmatic killer on the lawn of ex-Governor Edward Wood’s residence. Sammy, Wood’s drug dealing son, suspects his father of the crime. After all, his old man snapped once before and crippled his wife with a lead pipe. But there’s something more to these events… something deeper and festering just beneath the surface…

In direct opposition to Homicide Detective Jim Thompson, Sammy begins an investigation of his own, searching for the truth in a labyrinth of lies, deception, depravity and violence that drags him deeper into darkness and mayhem with each step. And in doing so, brings them all into the sights of an elusive and horrifying killer who may not be what he seems.

A brutal killer on a rampage of carnage… a hardened detective on the brink… an antihero from the shadows… a terrifying mystery that could destroy them all…

A BEAUTIFUL MADNESS, the harrowing new novel of dark crime and suspense from Lee Thompson.

I threw together a short story collection in thanks to fans for all their support. It’ll be free through Amazon from Jan. 25-29th so make sure to download it and to spread the word! Has a bunch of my favorites and I’ll keep the price low on this even after the free promotional period. My buddy Sandy DeLuca made me a cover for it. Thanks Sandy! I’ll try to get it listed on Goodreads this weekend too.

People have their own hidden worlds inside them as young Red Piccirilli has learned through the tragic events of his past.

His parents try to protect him by moving the family to a dead-end road out of town, but their plan is short-lived when a mysterious old man who seems to have a history with Red’s mother comes knocking at their door.

Red is quickly thrust into a crossroads between worlds, where he will soon learn from a broken god how to harness his true power…

Very happy to announce the Kindle release of my novella WITHIN THIS GARDEN WEEPING. This story can be read as a trippy surreal standalone, or if you read it after Before Leonora Wakes, you’ll see more of Red Piccirilli’s character  arc that lead him to his actions in The Collected Songs of Sonnelion (which will be released in 2013, I believe.)

Many thanks to those who already snagged it and shared it with the other dark fiction lovers in their lives! I can’t stress how important word of mouth is, and how much I appreciate it since my success is largely due to die-hard readers like yourself.

Please leave a review on Amazon or Goodreads! Thanks!

Also happy that my novella, WHEN WE JOIN JESUS IN HELL, that Jack Ketchum called “Hard as nails,” and Tom Piccirilli read pre-pub and said, “Fuses both genres together in the turmoil of terror, tragedy, blood, guilt, and lost chances at redemption…” is kicking some ass.  Having two of my biggest influences read my work and give me blurbs has definitely been a highpoint in my 2012. Have you read it yet?

Official release day of new novella and a review

WHEN WE JOIN JESUS IN HELL was officially released today on all the digital buggeroos. Grab it for your Kindle, Nook, or from Kobo. I don’t see it yet on Deisel or iTunes but it should be up in the next couple days.

I also received a new review on it from the wonderful Jennifer at Book Den

Feel free to add it on Goodreads and an honest review there or Amazon or B&N would be great.

Hoping everybody is having a great week!

P.s.– You only have five days to catch up on my free serial novel THE COLLECTED SONGS OF SONNELION before it’s taken off the web!

Received my author copies of WHEN WE JOIN JESUS IN HELL. They’re very sweet and have some awesome artwork by Dani Serra. Mailing out copies today to a couple of my heroes and to my buddies who have been there for the whole long haul. This book is short and powerful. A look into love, loss, revenge, and overcompensating for what has already been lost. I like it.

It also came out on Kindle! So grab a copy for your Kindle quick, read it, review it, spread the word!  It should be out in other digital formats soon!

IMMERSION from Thunderstorm Books (eBook) Release

The town of Jonah’s Reef has never felt like home to Leroy, but it’s where his family lives, where people tolerate his strangeness, and life carries on with little fuss. But when a group of intruders set camp on an old field at the edge of town life takes a dark turn.

Leroy’s not sure who he can trust.

He’s not sure he can be the hero his town needs.

And the boy he’d once been in the cellar isn’t about to forgive him for holding hands with devils.

Super happy to hear from Paul at Thunderstorm Books this morning! My novella IMMERSION just came out in Digital, with paperback and hardcover following in the next couple weeks. Awesome! Thanks to Paul and the artist, Nick Tripiciano. And thanks to everyone who has been supporting my work, whether editors, critters, friends, reviewers, or just old fashioned wonderful readers!

I’ll share some pics of the paperback and hardcover when I get them in too!

Thanks to anybody who spreads the word!

Free Tom Piccirilli novella

Tom Piccirilli’s novella CLOWNS IN THE MOONLIGHT is free on Amazon (thanks to Charlene for pointing it out!). It also has some cool bonus material. Great way to sample his work and see why you should go buy some of it. He also critiqued my buddy Shaun’s novel the last few days and man, oh man, did he do an awesome job.

In other news… sent the interview questions to Jack Ketchum! Really looking forward to his interview going live!

And I recently guest blogged on Katelyn Torrey’s Tales of Books and Bands, sharing the joys of creating new worlds, info on the first book in the Division mythos, and we’re giving away 10 Kindle copies. Super easy. Feel free to give it a read and leave a comment and share if you’re capable.

So many good things going on that I’m trying to sort how to enjoy each one fully and independently.

Hope everybody is well!
